The iPod Shuffle now comes in a choice of pink, green, blue, orange and silver. And while Apple touts the trendiness of the new colors, they can play a practical role for those who have trouble locating the half-cubic-inch device when glancing about a room.

Apple's application of color to the 1GB player comes three months after the debut of the device, which initially was offered in only silver. The player was unveiled in September by Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs, but iPod fans had to wait until November 3 for the formal launch.
