Macs and PCs found shacking up
Summary
Topics
The NPD Group said Monday that its online survey found that 12 percent of households with a computer have at least one Mac, up from 9 percent a year ago. Nearly 85 percent of those with a Mac, though, also have at least one Windows-based PC.
Overall, Mac owners tend to have more computers and more electronic devices than non-Mac owners. Two-thirds of those with an Apple machine have three or more computers, compared with 29 percent of Windows-only houses.
Houses with Macs also tend to be home to twice as many gadgets, including more iPods and GPS systems than are present in non-Mac abodes.

A very interesting study. This confirms what we have known for a long time.
Mac users are much cooler that PC users.

i aggree if for 'cool' you mean
childish people who thinks that something is new because it shines, when the original one not...
people who likes to spend money for no reason... only because the gadget is more expensive doesn't mean has more features (maybe it shines more...)
just remember the childhood when we wanted all the toys... but our parents learned us to chose, have a criteria (do you need it? don't you have already one?...)And then.. we grew up and started to act again like children? It's funny

RE: Macs and PCs found shacking up
It's a widely accepted fact that Mac users are much cooler than PC users.
Much less established is a consensus on whether "cool" is a compliment...
n.ang5th Oct 2009 -
Well, at least we know that Windows users are NOT cool.
They can't even figure out how to respond to a
talkback.
DonnieBoy5th Oct 2009 -
Then that would include 85% of all Mac users
Since 85% of all Mac users are also Windows users.

Did you even...
read the article? Check out the first paragraph. That isn't even taking in to account those Macs that duel boot in to a Microsoft OS.

Well obviously you're too stupid to do simple math.
Besides which...the stats are in the blog...numb-nuts.
Try learning how to read.

If...
...you truly believe that responding to Talkback's at zdnet.com are any kind of gauge as to whether one is "Cool" or not, then it is no wonder that the terrorists want us to die.

Apple KICKS compare
3 iPods (1 Classic 4GB first gen, 1 8GB, and a 160 GB Classic Video)
3 iMacs (1 Classic first gen, 1 Classic 2nd gen, 1 4th gen Indigo)
1 3G Dual Tower (circa 2004?)
1 MacBookPro (circa 2007)
Based on the utility of what I have owned I will continue to purchase Apple products (I have an iPhone 3G).
I USED to use Microsoft stuff. Now I ONLY buy Apple stuff. Microsoft is S.C.R.E.W.E.D.!
I moved away from Microsoft (and all OEM providers since they include the price of MS warez in all offerings) way back in 1997.
Apple KICK compared to OEM's and their Microsoft warez!
