Mozilla swats bugs with Firefox 3.0.6
Summary
Topics
Version 3.0.6 fixes six bugs, the worst of which is a JavaScript issue affecting the browser's layout engine that developers labelled as critical. The vulnerability, which also affects Mozilla's Thunderbird email client and SeaMonkey Internet Suite, could allow an attacker to run unauthorized code on exploited machines, Mozilla said.
The update also improves how scripted commands, such as those included with Adblock Plus, work with plug-ins, and addresses display issues, Mozilla said.
The update comes as Firefox continues to chip away at Internet Explorer's market dominance. Internet Explorer now has 67.55 percent of global browser market share, a drop of over seven percentage points in a year, according to figures from web metrics company Net Applications, released on Monday. Mozilla's Firefox browser, meanwhile, has gained market share in the same time frame, climbing over three percentage points to 21.53 percent.
Mozilla's Firefox 3.0.6 is also available for the Mac. See the complete list of bug fixes.

RE: Mozilla swats bugs with Firefox 3.0.6
Dear Steve,
Now, one major FLAW they NEED to get rid of is the "Flash Crash Bug" caused by Firefox in Linux.
Next, maybe go back to the design of version 2.xx.xx instead of the IE7 Copy aka Firefox 3.xx.xx
Thanks,
Christopher
