Opera tunes up Mac browser

Opera Software, based in Oslo, Norway, released its fourth beta version of Opera 5.0 for Macintosh platform OS X. New features include support for Apple Computer's QuickTime multimedia software and patches for unspecified bugs. Opera's Mac browsers, including a final release of version 5.0 for Mac operating systems 7.5.3-9.2.x, are available for download from the Opera Web site, with a 30-day advertising-free trial.

Opera also released version 6.01 and Opera Composer for the Windows operating system. The browser comes with several minor changes as well as a start-up page made by Terra Lycos.
