Steve Jobs tops list of most influential people in tech
Summary
Topics
The silicon.com Agenda Setters list is voted for by an expert panel which chooses the 50 people who exert the most influence on the worldwide IT industry. You can find out more about the judging panel here.
Whether launching new products (such as the new iPhone 3G S) or even just being the subject of rumours of new products (such as the much discussed Apple tablet), Steve Jobs and Apple have earned the power to set the agenda in the technology industry and far beyond.
Other Agenda Setters on this year's list include Evan Williams in second place for his work on the social media wonder that is Twitter. Jimmy Wales makes his third appearance in the top 10, and Eric Schmidt of Google makes the top 10 for the sixth time.

RE: Steve Jobs tops list of most influential people in tech
it makes sense that jobs is on top of the most influential list. since he
returned to apple, the rest of the industry has been playing catch up.
and no one has come close to catching the ipod, despite the fact than
many, MANY companies were already in the mp3 player business long
before apple arrived. and look at the iphone. in two short years, it has
grabbed huge market share and sent every other handset manufacturer
scrambling.
jobs may be an ******, but he's a visionary ******.

One final question for you, NZ
Was your mother somehow traumatized by Steve Jobs when she
was pregnant with you? (That is assuming, of course, that you
were born in the normal manner and not hatched from
something.) Your irrational hatred of Steve Jobs and all things
Apple is really quite scary. I'd suggest you seek professional help
for your anger problem. Seriously.

Gee, that sounds like a personal attack
Want to bet the mods won't delete it though? They'll delete this post though.
That's okay, ZDNet has to protect their revenue source which is obviously mostly funded through Apple's marketing department. I knew the instant I wrote my post that it would get deleted, as will this reply.
So f\/ck you. Hey, if it is going to get deleted anyway, there might as well be a reason for it!!

NZ, ZDNET is today what it is.
Ever wonder how it got this screwed up. Look in the mirror, in fact all
you MS jerks really should look in the mirror. ZDNET has been tarnished
& many pro users have moved on to other sites where they don't have to
deal with your kind. Here you go ZDNET , you can keep this kind of trash
here. Good riddance,,,

After all his Lord and Savor, Bill Gates III isn't on the top.

Well, the game was going too fast for Bill Gates
so he decided it was time to retire.
