Sun marketing exec heads to start-up Azul

Shahin Khan has joined start-up Azul Systems, which builds computing hardware to accelerate the execution of Java software.

Sun Microsystems' former chief competitive officer Shahin Khan has joined Azul Systems, the Mountain View, Calif.-based start-up plans to announce on Thursday. Khan, who most recently led Sun's high-performance technical computing group but left in June, is Azul's chief marketing officer. Azul, which builds special-purpose computing hardware to accelerate the execution of Java software, was founded byStephen DeWitt, another former Sun executive.
