Valentine's Day snags for e-vendors

Valentine's Day wasn't all wine and roses for several popular e-vendor sites Monday. Both Hallmark.com and eGreetings.com reported slowdowns or outages on their sites as requests for e-mail cards flooded the system. 1800Flowers.com, MarthasFlowers.com, ProFlowers.com and ftd.com all ceased taking same-day orders during the Valentine's Day rush and by the end of business Monday were only able to deliver by Wednesday, Feb. 16. -- Jennifer Mack, ZDNet News
