Wikileaks poses 'security threat' to US Army
Summary
Topics
Classified US military information appearing on Wikileaks could "influence operations against the US Army by a variety of domestic and foreign actors", says the report, prepared in 2008 by the Army Counterintelligence Center and apparently disclosed in its entirety on Monday. The 32-page document was published by Wikileaks, but not before editor Julian Assange prepended a critique saying some details in the Army report were inaccurate and its recommendations flawed.
One section of the original document says "criminal prosecution" of anyone leaking sensitive information could "deter others considering similar actions from using the Wikileaks.org website". Another speculates that Wikileaks — which boasts that it is "uncensorable" — is "knowingly encouraging criminal activities", including violation of national security laws regarding sedition and espionage.

Just In
Now giving out intelligence about current military operations in a war, that would fall under espionage and treason.
That is, asssuming we have any real enemies these days. Pretty much all espionage nowadays is merely economic.
US Army: If you don't want your foes reading your sensitive data, you'd better look into this thing called encryption. Apparently, with this technology if implemented properly, only the inteneded reciepient of your data can actually decode it.
Am I the only one who finds it funny that wikileaks leaked the document about the "danger" of wikileaks.
Global warming is melting the polar ice caps ....
(duh, we are comming out of an ice age)!
Blah, blah, blah!
Personally, if its top secret, they should encrypt it. Its their duty to keep the information secure from attackers. Failing to do so should result in disciplinary action inside the military.
Thus censoring the site that publish the leak can never work.
And the Army man who wrote this is an idiot. Am I allowed to say that?
