In Malaysia, it's common to have people come around collecting old newspapers for recycling purposes. But old computers?

Some ex-computer science undergraduates from Universiti Putra Malaysia are currently scouting around for unwanted PCs, which they will upgrade and repair for schools that need them.

Based on 2003 data, there were more than 6,000 schools in the rural areas of the country that did not have computers for their students.
