Oracle buys TOA Technologies, fills in field service gaps

Oracle said Thursday that it will acquire TOA Technologies, which specializes in cloud services that coordinate customer service with field operations.

TOA's technology monitors requests for field service from contact centers and coordinates with dispatchers to deliver times available and inventory levels. TOA manages more than 120 million service events a year and counts DISH, Home Depot and Vodafone as customers.
