Orange’s 2010 festivals gadget – Power Wellies

Every year Orange comes up with some sort of wheeze for music festival season. This year it is Power Wellies. The idea is simple. The boots gather the energy you create while walking round, dancing and generally being on your feet. This charges a battery, and from the battery you can charge your phone.

Orange is going to show the Power Wellies at Glastonbury for which the operator is Official Communications Partner.

Apparently twelve hours on your feet will charge your phone for one hour.
