Perficient snags Microsoft partner awards for cloud services

Summary: Recently named U.S. partner of the year by the giant software developer, the company is also aligned with EMC, Google, IBM, Oracle, Salesforce and TIBCO.

Microsoft partner Perficient apparently gets around. Not only was the St. Louis-based solution provider named as the giant software company's 2013 U.S. Partner of the Year, it also was recognized with three separate regional awards related to successful cloud projects.

Perficient can handle migrations and deployments related to Microsoft's entire range of cloud computing offerings including Office 365, Azure, Lync, Yammer, SharePoint Online, InTune and Dynamics CRM. So far, the company has activated more than 500,000 Office 365 -- more than any other national systems integrator aligned with Microsoft.

Here are some examples of its Microsoft cloud work:

  • Built a new Active Directory environment for an automotive company, leveraging an identity management system to extend Lync Online to 31,000 end users.
  • Migrated a recycling company to Exchange Online.
  • Worked with one of the largest U.S. healthcare providers to deploy Lync Online to 6,000 users within weeks.

But Perficient is far more than just a Microsoft partner, when it comes to cloud capabilities. It actually was also Google's partner of the year for 2013 in enterprise search.

What's more, the company in May acquired San Francisco-based Clear Task, an $8 million integrator focused on Salesforce.com deployments. Clear Task has handled Salesforce.com deployments at more than 300 companies.

"For quite some time, we've been working to find the right Salesforce consulting team to add to Perficient," said Jeffrey Davis, CEO and president of Perficient, in a statement. "In Clear Task, we've found a firm with an excellent reputation, and one that is well-run with impressive bill rates and margins. This transaction represents a key strategic investment we're making to expand our cloud offerings."

Clear Task was actually one of the integrators behind the scenes that created a Salesforce implementation at DenMat, a midsize manufacturer of aesthetic dental products. 

Perficient, which is expected to generate about $380 million in revenue for 2013, is also a premier level partner with IBM, and it holds high-level certifications with Oracle, TIBCO and EMC.
