    At a recent open day, Accenture's labs in the south of France showed off some of the healthcare technologies it is working on.

    Here Accenture researcher Agata Opalach is wearing a $5,000 vest which is measuring her vital signs and transmitting them wirelessly to the display. Such technology could be useful for monitoring patients after they have left hospital.

  • This online medicine cabinet uses a digital camera to recognise which member of the family is using it and dispense information accordingly. By using RFID technology it can also tell if the right medicines are being taken out by the right people.
