First UK WinPho phone device from the Chinese mobile maker...

Chinese mobile maker ZTE has announced its first UK smartphone running the Mango iteration of Microsoft's Windows Phone OS. The WinPho OS is centred on a homescreen comprised of a grid of 'Live Tiles' which update with user-specific data - such as missed calls, new emails and Facebook photos and updates.

The ZTE Tania, pictured above, sports a 4.3 inch WVGA touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480.

As with all current Windows Phones, there's a 1GHz chip inside - Microsoft's mobile OS platform doesn't yet support multi-core chips.

The HSPA device has all the usual connectivity, with Bluetooth and wi-fi on board. There's also GPS and an accelerometer.

Device dimensions are 128.6mm x 67.8mm x 10.7mm, and battery life is touted at four hours talk time.
