"MS haters" have a long and not so glorious history of finding much more than ample reason to dislike the greed and dirty dealings of M$.
I won't enumerate them here because I don't have time to write a book.

I recently switched from IE 8 to Firefox 3.6 and really like it. Th reason I switched was because of all the virus' that creep through IE 8, not to mention the frustrating Google redirects. Firefox has plugins that eliminate those problems.
MS does not need a new browser. They just need to fix the one they have.

So i am not able to test it. But as far as i can see i dont think i miss something. And I am happy with IE8.
I am also not going to install Vista or 7 and will wait for the next Windows version of MS.
I pass this one.

Why wait? Get Windows 7. Beats XP in nearly every respect. If you don't like Windows 7, I don't think you'll ever like any future version of Windows.
RE: A closer look at the Internet Explorer 9 beta
I agree that 7 is better than XP in almost every respect, but $3000+ in equipment and resources per station to upgrade to 7 is something businesses and a lot of people still on XP consider, especially if the only reason for the upgrade is to use a browser that just seems like a Chrome clone.

So what's your point?

Seriously? There are just some people who are never gonna like IE, not matter what Microsoft does, ever.
But don't let that stop you or anybody else who wants to try it again. My advice is yes, time to re-evaluate.
RE: A closer look at the Internet Explorer 9 beta
I think it's quite fair to say that it is exactly the things that Microsoft has done that cause some people to not like them.
Let me put it this way. If a company has $50,000,000,000 profit, is there ANY EXCUSE EVER to put out buggy defective software?
It was a rhetorical question because the obvious answer is the right one.
I don't know, Mannaman
Ask Apple that.
