  • At a special event, Apple CEO Tim Cook takes the wraps off what is expected to be the latest tech rage - the new iPad.

    The next-generation iPad features optional 4G LTE, a Retina Disply, a faster processor, and a 5-megapixel camera.

  • The new iPad will feature a retina display with a 2048x1536 pixel resolution. That's 3.1 million pixels on new iPad, or 264 pixels per inch.

    It also comes with a 5-megapixel camera with backside illumination, auto-exposure, and auto-focus. There's also auto-face detection. It includes 1080p HD video recording, just like on the iPhone 4S.

  • The 16GB version will cost $499.99, $599.99, and $699.99 for the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models. It'll launch March 16, but preorders start today.

    This has a familiar feel to it....as with the I-PAD, I-PAD 2 I'll skip this beta and wait for WOA.
