B&N shows off new Nook Tablet (photos)

  • Barnes & Noble CEO William Lynch showed off the new Nook Tablet, updated Nook Color and the Nook Simple Touch ereader at the Barnes & Noble store in Union Square, Manhattan.

    Lynch says the new 7-inch Nook Tablet will be powered by a 1Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and up to 1080p video support.

  • Lynch relishes the crowd reaction to his company's new device. He claims the Nook Tablet will feature 11.5 hours of reading time and 9 hours of video playback. It also has a low glare screen and will be able to access WiFi at B&N stores and video hotspots.
