  • Cisco says it's time for telepresence technology in your living room with the introduction of Umi (pronounced You-Me). It's basically video conferencing in your living room in HD so you could show off your latest purchase to a friend or a skin rash to your doctor. For more on Umi read Sam Diaz's blog.

  • Smile for the camera. Umi supports full HD 1080p video calling (1920x1080 pixels) and 720p recording at 30 frames per second. It's compatible with HD widescreen TVs that are capable of 1080p or 720p with an available HDMI port.
