  • Upon removing the Acer Iconia Tab's back cover, I noticed the left speaker was damaged. I did not cause the damage when removing the back cover, so it must have come from the factory this way. I'm not sure how, or if the damage will affect the speaker's sound quality.

The A500 is $429 at Costco, and it is for the 32GB version! Since yoiu always get more at Costco, the A500 also comes with the Acer Case Stand & mini-HDMI cable. If you want to buy a warranty, you can get a 2yr from SquareTrade for $99, and have 90 days from date of purchase to buy the warranty plan (which also covers accidental breakage).

Now seeing it has a chip that does Bluetooth, WiFi, and FM why was there no FM radio app?

Hi, my tablet slip off from my hands and it hit the floor... It cracked and I put the pieces all together but I think the small box with the lenses of the camera was harmed. Now the camera works but it cannot focus well, it is like myopic. Does somebody know a link or have a suggestion to fix the camera of the tablet A500?

Thanks for the teardown! Wondered about cracking open my W500 to expand the hard-drive memory, but doesn't look there is any "room" to do so. Will buy a sd card instead...thanks again!
