Does the myTouch 4G Slide have the most advanced camera in a phone?

Summary: T-Mobile and HTC make some bold claims about the myTouch 4G Slide and after spending the weekend with it as my main camera and phone I have to say it could serve as your camera on the go. The Nokia N8 still beats it when it comes to high quality, but the software and hardware is more than acceptable on the myTouch 4G Slide.

    The biggest problem with phone cameras is their poor performance in low light conditions such as in clubs at night. The picture ends being either too dark or too bright when using the flash.
    Also, the microphone is terrible on the camera when taking video to the point that it is useless when filming, say a band playing in dark club at night.

      @mktpostal@... the same is of course true for most compact cameras too. Short of having a dedicated video camera or a nice SLR, that band-in-a-dark-club video is not likely to turn out well.
      So, while the 4G slide might not do what you require, that doesn't mean it couldn't replace most people's point-and-shoot compact digital.

    There are a few spots that randomly seem to blur still, however it is a very good camera. I take it this is an 8mp camera? (*feels proud my HTC Incredible laid the ground for 8mp cameras *uber smile**)
