Apple's iPhone might be seen by many as largely a consumer device, with games and media apps regularly topping the 'What's Hot' list on iTunes. However, the App Store currently stocks more than 2,000 business apps and, with the iPhone currently dominating around 13 percent of the smartphone market, the device's potential as a business tool can no longer be ignored. Handy for sending a fast handwritten message to someone without using the keyboard (which can be tricky at times). More personal, too. Kudos to the developer.

* TomTom. for the efficiency it provides in getting from one location to the next, be that a meeting, hotel or conference location.

I agree. I've had a 3G for over a year and am ready to dump it for a blackberry. I'm on a 30 day trial with the Verizon Tour and I love it. Downlaoding, uploading and editing documents isn't really a breeze, but at least I can do it. The iPhone is overrated in my opinion, especially for productivity.
That we never get a Best Business Apps for Blackberry story? Right next to NO ONE uses an iPhone in the corporate world. It is 80% Blackberry, 15% Win Mobile, 5% other.

Blackberrys are "business devices" where a good chunk of the apps
available are for business so it is not too tough to find good apps to help
you work. iPhones are more consumer devices and out of the thousands
of apps, most are for personal use or entertainment. Having someone
that has weeded through the fart noise apps list some of the business
apps they have found useful can help others that use their iPhones in
their professional life...

Looked interesting so I open iTunes to check it out... There
are 21 1 star ratings and all 5 reviews say it doesn't work,
