Summary: The newly released Chrome for Android beta is a full port of the Chrome browser for desktop operating systems and is intended to eventually replace the built-in Android browser.

  • Chrome for Android fully supports the bookmark sync service, so whatever bookmarks you sync on your PC or your Mac desktop browser is fully accessible on your Android device.

  • Chrome for Android is able to show you the sites you recently visited on your desktop PC. In this example, it knows that Chrome running on my Linux laptop visited these sites, and I can pick up where I left off.

  • Here's the full Google Plus desktop experience on an Android tablet running Chrome. All of the dynamic visual and interactive elements work just like on the desktop.

    Sweeeeet! Hope it becomes available for Honeycomb tablets, too sometime. But as I'm saving my pennies for a Transfomer Prime anyway, I'm gad to know the browsing experience will be second to none!

    Well at the moment at least. On my ICS tablet the "Browser" is much smoother. Hopefully Chrome on Android will grow into it's name.

      Are you suggesting that their 'generic' Android browser DOESN'T reveal anything to them?

    Also....bad news appears the new Android/Chrome/Beta browser does not work with the MIPS chipset that runs many of the newer/cheaper Android tablets (of which my Novo7 Paladin is one).
    DARN. Now what?
    Is it more likely Google will develop a compatible version of Chrome.....or more likely Novo will upgrade THEIR product? Or, neither?
