Microsoft's Steve Ballmer took the wraps off the new version of its search engine — and its new search brand, “Bing” — at the D7 conference on May 28. Here are some screenshots provided by Microsoft of Bing that will officially debut June 3.

So, still a boring box to fill in, then ?

Don't bother with an innovative approach to search, guys.
Here's an idea, take away the developer's keyboards and see if they get a clue.
Surely, assisted search is the next thing ???
Guaranteed to flop because it's yet another clone.

Here we go again with a web search engine being
presented as a killer app. Don't you smart
people have other things to work on? Where's my
freakin' hovercar? Maybe you could do something
about American cable tv and cell phone companies
gouging consumers while lagging WAAAAY behind
providers in other industrialized nations in
terms of actual service and value (speed,
pricing, features, etc). Fiber-to-my-house would
be a good one to look at too. But another clump
of code designed to spit out urls and ads?
Thanks.

Rather than try to come up with a "kitchy" name, somebody's is racking their brain, both of these names are just well.. How about Microsoft give us the option to call it what we want, to change the name next to the search box. I could call it "search", or "hunt" maybe even "decision engine", which is what it appears to be pushing for. There, chew on that a little bit Microsoft. Have Fun.
