The original MSN
Wasn't the original MSN a dial-up service like AOL? I'm a little fuzzy, but I seem to remember it being touted as an Internet killer, and it was a service, not simply a web site. Anybody remember?

You are correct, it was a fee based service that
allowed you to dial in like AOL, CompuServ, etc.

And before the 1996 MSN there was MSSidewalk, which combined local news and entertainment with national news. It also included tests and tips about subjects ranging from automobiles to appliances. It was so good that I would gladly pay a fee to have it again!
