  • The only camcorder entry on this list is the pocket-sized GE DV1. Surprisingly durable for a video camera that can shoot full HD 1080p movies, the DV1 is shockproof, dustproof and waterproof up to 16 feet. Other notable specs include the built-in USB arm, SD/SDHC support, a 2.5-inch LCD monitor with auto brightness, and a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that lasts up to 80 minutes for continuous recording. The DV1 is already available for purchase now for $129.99 in five vibrant hues: lime green, aqua blue, citrus orange, red velvet and graphite gray.

  • GE Power Series: The ultra‐slim GE E1450W packs a lot of bunch in its tiny aluminum frame. Other useful features include HD video recording, image stabilization, and pan-capture panorama mode. Set to be available in three shades (black, silver and red), the E1450W will launch in March for $119.99.
