Hands on with the HTC Radar 4G on T-Mobile

Vendors are starting to release 2nd generation Windows Phone devices with the 7.5, aka Mango, operating system preloaded out of the box. The first Mango device to arrive is the HTC Radar 4G from T-Mobile and it is available for just $99.99 with a 2-year contract.

You will find a low res front facing camera above the display on the Radar 4G. At this time you cannot use it with anything though with the Tango application eventually launching. Hopefully the Skype software comes with video support now that Microsoft owns Skype.

The right side houses the volume button and the camera capture button.

The top of the Radar 4G houses the power button and 3.5mm headset jack.

The back of the HTC Radar 4G is primarily composed of the aluminum unibody with upper and lower white plastic pieces. The upper piece surrounds the 5 megapixel camera, single LED flash, and speaker.

The bottom of the HTC Radar 4G comes off to access the SIM card slot. You cannot expand the memory or change out the battery of the device.

The HTC Radar 4G fits well in the hand and is narrower than the HTC HD7 Windows Phone.
