The next Android tablet for T-Mobile is launching soon as the Dell Streak 7. While the Streak 7 has an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, HSPA+ 21 Mbps support. and $199.99 price after contract, the low resolution display and limited battery life make it a device to skip as better devices are available now or coming soon.

I've never seen an author so hung up on an 800x600 resolution feature. I can't stand any of these devices, but I certainly don't see the level of disdain portrayed in this article worthy for a device that's clearly priced $50 lower than the Samsung Galaxy for a reason. People have different pricing levels and want features. 800x600 resolution on such a small screen is actually quite nice. You're supposed to write an article with objectivity, not totally dismiss a product because it doesn't match a favored option of yours. People who read ZDNet are not idiots. We don't need your whiny opinion. In fact, I've been in IT for 18 years, doing enterprise level stuff that makes the little toys you play with actually run. So please, just stick with the facts and quit annoying me.
Given how long it's taking Samsung to get Froyo on the Galaxy S devices (including my Epic 4G), I'd be reluctant to buy any Samsung device right now. Yes, the hardware is good, but the software makes it go. How long after Android 3.0 (the one designed specifically for tablets) is released are you willing to wait for an update. My bet is that Dell will release the update much quicker. (HTC updated the Evo 4g to Froyo months ago.) And Gingerbread has been out for almost 2 months now. That's two versions behind for Samsung Galaxy S.

That's damn cheap price for a dual core Nvidia processor tablet. I see most normal users even cannot make out a difference of resolution normal eyes. Looking at the demos the speed of the processor while playing games is outstanding at the display resolution. I am sure higher the resolution the lower the processor may be able to process and render to the display. So the tablet looks more geared towards gaming users and users willing to spend low cost and enjoy the power of dual core.
