I'm a BlackBerry man myself ...

... but maily because of BES synchronization. The only shortcoming I see with any of the other devices is the lack of a physical keyboard. I tried the BlackBerry Storm and found that touch-screen keyboards leave a lot to be desired. Give me the larger screens and a physical keyboard and I am in!
@mwagner@...

Motorola Droid available thru Verizon has the physical keyboard but it feels like a brick in your hand. The Storm is a poor implementation of the touch-screen keyboard, the whole screen depressing was just a bad decision IMO. I've played with the iPhone and some of the Droid phone soft-keyboards and once you get the hang of it it's not all that much different except the feeling of keys under your fingertips...
@brentroger

I own a Droid and love it, both for the physical keyboard and the feel. I don't care for phones that are too skinny and light and feel like they are cheaply made. And I'm a woman, so it isn't a girl thing/guy thing. The touch keyboard is OK sometimes, but I still prefer a physical keyboard any day. And I'm attracted to the total openness of the Android, unlike some other phones/OS's. Plus, I haven't had one dropped call since I switched to Verizon from AT&T to get my Droid. happy
@mwagner@... I was... until I recently upgraded to Office 2010. No Outlook Sync??!!!! No date estimate on support for Outlook 2010 in DM??!!!! I'm now an HTC man. I cannot believe BB would neglect their CORE enterprise market like this. They did the same thing with 2007 and I, like an idiot, thought it was a fluke. The software matters too, particularly with BB.

How do you compare the BlackBerry Storm with the Apple iPhone? I am with Verizon and was turned off by AT&T's poor client service - actually rude. I left them years ago and will not return even for the iPhone. I love and use Apple products - they are the best, creative, innovative, practical and easy to use/learn to use. Don
You should take a look at the TouchPro2 from HTC it has a physical keyboard, an on screen keyboard and syncs directly with the mail server.

The Nokia N8 is the first camera phone to truly replace your 'point and shoot' digital camera with a 12 megapixel sensor with Carl Zeiss optics and a Xenon flash. Can't wait!

Smartphone!! not yet. Their gadget phones. When they can do everything their smart.
Example: shop for me at all stores and notify me store Big Bucks down the street has the 40ct diamond i want. Monitors my heart pulse rate and diabetes then send data to my doctor..
@fsilvia@... They'll be smart when they can correct your grammar/spelling! "their" should be "they're" their means something belonging to a person! "they're" means and is short for "they are". Go for it smarty!! :-))

what they don't say
Dan McTaggart Updated - 21st May 2010
What they don't say is how many people don't buy because it is not a Windows Smartphone. Probably missing the biggest market and not even knowing it.

There is no reason HTC couldn't have a Windows version of the newest phones.

I simply will not buy into any other platform with Windows about to take over yet another market.

HTC Touch Pro like the original except bigger about the size of the HTC Evo 4G is the answer. Colorize the original menus and it would be perfect.
@demctaggart

they do. It's called an HTC HD2

OK, so give me a Nokia N8 that runs win mobil 6.5; with GSM. I've been an Alltel-Verizon customer since my first cell phone. And I can count my dropped calls on two hands in all these years. I also would like to mention you only have one black berry phone and NO samsung phones on your list. Black berry's have the best phone reception period. And what good is a phone, if it's a lousy phone? I've got a Samsung Omnia II right now, it does everything I can imagine. Beautiful screen, movies, tv, tether, email, and opens-edits office docs. And it cost me $0.00, so tell me what's not to like.
