I agree with you! I'm also "brand loyal" ... no VZW until it is
compatible with the iphone.

I'm slow how can you tell from the gallery that it's a 3G iPhone and not its predecessor?
If offered by anyone but ATT I may get one. Looks nice and with higher speeds too.

how is the sound quality like?
the former dosent sound loud and ring tone are difficult to alert you of a call.

In looking at the reported pricing of the new iPhone 3G it is easy to see it as an expensive phone+service package. However, as an alternative to the iTouch, it appears to be inexpensive. The 16GB version of the iPhone is reported to be $299 and the 16GB version of the iTouch is $399, how does that sound (pun intended)?
On a related note, why doesn't Apple include an SD or MicroSD slot in iPhone so storage is expandable?
