During Call

Those buttons look deceiving -- you can't click them. You have to use the physical buttons on the device.

My God, you're easily impressed. Dude, some of us have to make calls and actually do things in life -- but you get cracking on that Alien Autopsy mashup, hyeah?

For anyone who's been dying to see and feel what the latest Android m5 UI is like on a real phone, here's the Nokia & Sony Ericsson demo from Tea Vui Huang! An Android m3 UI demo, Adobe DNG Raw Android library and a NTT DoCoMo skin for the Android Emulator is also available for download from the above website.

My mom might love this phone...if it was as simple as possible. I like the large font, high contrast, and many of the other design elements so far.

I hope they don't kludge it together so bad that it feels like too many pieces stacked on top of each other. It should maintain an elegant smooth simple flow hopefully.

The great thing about this handheld OS isn't what you see on this page - it is the sheer potential for change - Android is going to be huge because it allows for so much to be done with the phone. Don't like that there isn't an on-screen button for initiating the call? Download a different dialer app to your phone that includes one. Want your phone to look exactly like the iPhone or Windows Mobile or Ubuntu? Want to change the look of the home page or want your phone to double as a book reader or lock it down so it can only call three numbers and nothing else - all very possible - & not just possible, but the insane thing is - even if you had a Verizon phone, but liked one of the Sprint apps for this phone, all you have to do is load it. No more of the bullcrap of having apps that are only available for just one phone and then it's gone. You want a dialer that looks like a crazed mashup of Alien Autopsy and a calculator - then build it! It's all up to you and any programmer who wants to throw it together.

Hopefully more will be built, since there's so much interest in it.
