I think the Nook Color and Kindle are really for two different markets. I have a Nook Color and I love it. I read mostly non-fiction and I appreciate seeing color charts/data and reading other ancillary docs (PDF and Office). I do occasionally pop over to the web for further reference on topics. So to me it's a great, integrated reading and casual study tool. I only miss being able to annotate Office docs.

My wife has a Kindle and she loves it. She reads novels, exclusively.
