I am a Opensolaris fan tried Opensusie 10.1 my view was positive of the user interface with some very disappointing user blunders.susie has been working hard to improve the interphase in the microsoft template to ease migration and reduce user training costs. This distribution is now showing signs of commercial maturity and should compete well in the enterprise desktop market.Pity Sun has not adopted KDE as default as the graphics user interphase is of great importance to the sucess of the OS.A wake up call for microsoft and Sun alike. This looks really really good. The only clincher will be the repository support and available applications. Ubuntu is the best I've found at that part. But it still does feel short of real power on the user side in every day use.
Try Mandriva 2008.1
Much better and sexier!!
It is good but...IMHO,Mandriva Linux One 2008 Spring
is the best at ease of use, peripheral and hardware recognition and updating of packages.
Plus it is pretty sexy looking when using KDE!!
I have a VMware server setup and I'm messing with ubuntu 8 and fedora 9. Looks like I'll be downloading another distro. This looks really nice.
