The Sanyo Xacti HD1 is about the size of a bar of soap, costs $800 and is billed as a pocketcorder capable of recording high-definition video. Scheduled to be available in March, the HD1 also features a 2.2-inch rotating screen--an organic light-emitting diode display--that is exceptionally bright and clear so long as it's not competing with direct sunlight. Although a memory card is required, the HD1 doesn't come with one. A 2GB card, the biggest available, can cost about $100 online.
