San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom speaks to a crowd of about 150 people at the unveiling of Michael Christian's "Flock" near City Hall on Nov. 17. "We want to excite people about the artistic creativity that exists in extraordinary ways in San Francisco," Newsom said.
Prior to its involvement in installing Michael Christian's "Flock" in front of San Francisco's City Hall, the Black Rock Arts Foundation helped put up David Best's temple in a brand-new park in the city's Hayes Valley district.
