    With its $99 DJ Ditty, unveiled in September 2005, Dell is taking aim at the popular iPod Shuffle. It has 512MB of storage, which the company says translates to as many as 220 songs.

  • The Dell device has a 1-inch LCD screen and an FM tuner. Its dimensions: 3.6 inches by 1.1 inches by 0.5 inch; weight is 1.29 ounces.

  • Apple Computer's iPod Shuffle, which debuted in January 2005, also comes in a 512MB version priced at $99, as well as a 1GB model priced at $129. By Apple's count, the two devices hold 120 and 240 songs, respectively.
