HP introduced several new products that will support the HD DVD standard, including the dv9000t notebook (pictured). The HD DVD drive in this notebook can play high-definition movies on its 17-inch screen, and the notebook has an HDMI port that can allow it to be used as a DVD player for a big-screen high-definition television.
Along with the new notebook, HP added a new PC running Microsoft's Windows XP Media Center Edition to its lineup Thursday. The m7600n comes with Intel's Core 2 Duo processor and is labeled with Intel's Viiv sticker, meaning it will be able to send audio and video files to Viiv-certified networking devices once those are more prevalent.
