Glossy black imprint finish
HP is extending the glossy black imprint finish seen here on the Pavilion dv2000 notebook to three new notebooks unveiled Wednesday. Now that most people who want a notebook own one or use one regularly, companies are starting to focus more on style and personality rather than plain old gray or black.

Pavilion dv9000
The largest of the three new notebooks unveiled Wednesday, the Pavilion dv9000, comes with a 17-inch wide-screen display and AMD's new dual-core Turion chip. Adding it to a backpack full of other gear might eventually cause a visit to the chiropractor, however, as the dv9000 weighs 7.8 pounds.
