Officers in a simulated raid with Stinger Systems' "The Stinger" stun guns. The Stinger can shoot as many as four darts simultaneously up to 31 feet. The darts are attached to the gun by thin wires that transmit an electrical charge, causing the suspect to lose muscle control and harmlessly drop to the ground.
The Stinger stun gun has a laser guide and can shoot either two or four darts at a time. Stinger Systems says it will not sell the device to civilians.
One or two cartridges, which contain two darts each, can be loaded into the barrel. The Stinger has an optional video/audio device that begins recording when the safety is turned off.
