One of the facilities that contributes to the realistic sound effects produced by Skywalker Sound is its "Foley studio," a room used to record environmental sounds such as footsteps or car doors slamming. Foley editors then incorporate the sounds into the company's effects library and sound editors and mixers can select them for use in films.
