    Each team consists of six members who are responsible for designing and building their vehicle. Two drivers, one male and one female, are selected from each team.

    Team Two of Pittsburg State University, in Kansas, grabbed second place in the 2005 race.

    Navigating the half-mile race course is simple: Start at the Space Shuttle, take a right at the Saturn V rocket, circle the craters and return to the Shuttle.

  • Lunar Rover

    The moonbuggy race was inspired by the Lunar Roving Vehicles driven on the moon by astronauts on the Apollo 15, 16 and 17 missions.
