The four founders of Sun Microsystems stand around one of the company's early workstations in 1982. From left to right: Vinod Khosla, Bill Joy, Andy Bechtolsheim and Scott McNealy. An audience at an event at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, Calif. on Wednesday heard the story of how McNealy was reluctant to leave a full-time job to join the young company.
