    The Berlin Air Show ILA2006 is putting more than 340 aircraft, from drones and gliders to jumbo transports and bombers, on display at the Berlin-Schoenefeld Airport. More than 1,000 exhibitors from 42 countries are expected to show off the latest developments in aerospace technology at the event, which runs from May 16-21.

  • Airbus 380

    One of the highlights of the show was the arrival of the Airbus 380, making its first appearance in Germany. The A380 will be able to carry up to 853 passengers. Airbus has currently has 159 orders from 16 customers with the first delivery expected to take place before the end of the year.

    Military staffers inspect a fighter model. Billions of dollars are spent annually on military aircraft.
