And does anyone really think 3D TVs/Monitors were a good idea? It's a gimmick at best.

No it was not!
Atari shipped more by the end of 1982 that C64 ever sold. However, if we are talking about a single model, then the best selling Personal Computer ever sold is the XBOX 360 - you say it's not a Personal Computer? Think again, the XBOX is every bit a PC, but we simply don't think of it that way. A close second is the Apple iPad2 - which while it is a tablet is still a PC by every real definition of a PC.
