Saw the note abt "crash". Could not simulate it. So far, seems OK except I can't get in to my company intranet.

I installed Safari and it installed fine, but when I ran the program all I got were the images... ALL words and fonts were nowhere to be seen. Couldn't use menus, read articles etc. Anything that had words on it was blank. Removed it several times and reinstalled and it always came out the same.
likewise. I installed, removed and reinstalled three (03) times and all I got was a blank screen with a few images on the sides. No words attached to any of the icons. Blank tool bar with the exception of dash lines which, when clicked on, gave a blank submenu. If Apple wants to impress me this isn't how to do it.
Same problem here. Every thing is blank except for some images.
I did the same thing of unistalling and reinstalling and redownloading. Same results.

Contrary to claims on the Apple web site, Firefox is still substantially faster then the beta of Safari for Windows. Don't blame it on it being a beta version. If you make a claim you have to stand by it. I'm sticking with Firefox.
Install went fine.
I kind of liked the look and feel.
I thought performance was slower than IE7, seemed to cache then
bring up page instantly.
www.speakeasy.net/speedtest was missing graphics.

I have installed the beta and it works fine. It is up to three times faster than my Firefox and Opera ,BUT it chokes on large video files. But thats why they call it a beta.I will submit my findings and hope they can work to improve the video transfer problems out. The final release of this browser could be pretty amazing.

Thanx for you infos I get instal immediately. This look as better than Firefox, because Firefox is no good for better webdesigns. I created in this time new online shop website and design shadows effect under text is in Firefox out. Look at this link http://travel-luggage-store.info for better test.Thanx for visit.R.

hear but HATE is extreme and I'd be curious as to know the reason behind it?

than to make a great browser, I'll stick with Firefox, works great, less filling!
I downloaded Beta 2, 3 & 3.01. In my case, I could not see the Menu text. I found a blog that hit it right on for the correct fix. I have a lot of fonts and this has presented other text display problems as well. Following the Blog instructions, I was able to repair the Safari File, Fonts.Plis, in XML markup language. I substituted the exact font list in its original format and saved the file from WordPad. Then as per the instructions, I Set the file properties to "Read Only', so the file will not be reset.
I hope this helps. Now, as you know, there still several bugs with crash potential, but I noticed that Safari downloads web pages faster, or at least, so they appear to.
