The notification panel on the right also has remained the same and that's fine by me. It's easy to see who's responded to your updates, who's added you to their Google+ circles, and so on.

Refined Look, Great Improvement on the Interface
G+ new interface looks much nicer, options easier to read not as cluttered, I belive they are close to the final user friendly release :-)
