It is interesting that many people in a society worship the wrong thing. They attribute greatness to an individual and ignore the true reason why that individual got to the place he/she did. I have not heard one respondent thanking God for his blessings upon his children!
@davidphillip I am glad that you find comfort in believing in God, but your belief is just that, a belief. If you have an open mind, read "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins. And before you read that read "A Briefer History of Time." There is no God. Only brainwashing as a child and superstition can make you believe in something for which there is no proof of existence. There is plenty wrong in the world which should at least convince you that if there is a God, he or she is a bad God.

Even if I accept your religious beliefs, don't you think Steve Jobs deserves some credit for his achievements?
@radar_z Yes, Steve Jobs deserves some credit for his achievements, but he should not be worshipped as a God.
@davidphillip agreed.Technology is not a religion.

@jouyne agreed with you.

@davidphillip - "It is interesting that many people in a society worship the wrong thing."

You mean like how you worship a fictional character?
What makes your belief in your "God" any more real or relevant than someone else's belief that there is no God?

You live in a glass house and you are chucking stones all over the place.
@davidphillip Or thanking Woz for all his hard work for Apple! I bet when HE dies, Apple fans will be elsewhere.
there where CampFired Legends that FlamesMan Speared....

@davidphillip are you ACTUALLY kidding??

Your 'statement' is insulting in at least 4 ways, not the least of which being the assertion that I am his 'child'.

Believing in a God is no different intellectually than believing that the stars control our fate. It's from the same region of 'logic', after all.

Oh now wait, don't tell me....

Thats the money shot. I feel sad at his passing, because I believe he had more to contribute. I really wanted him to have an extra 20 years just to see if he would run out of ideas or still be visionary he has been for the past 15 years at Apple. As for worshipping, its more attachment and a sign of respect. As President Obama said, many of us ended up learning about his death on the same devices he envisioned. Steve even said something about how ironic life is and how its a circle that is amazing.
