I'm not saying don't use public cloud services but you should really check to see if your stuff will be read by others and who these people are. Even third-party affiliates? Advertisers?
We know by now that Twitter isn't "safe". When two people are tweeting each other in England and their tweets are being shipped to the Department of Homeland Security in the U.S. (resulting in the temporary arrest and deportation of the two youths) a bell should go off as to who gets to look at your uploads and if it is all OK with you.
