    Not a surprise since socializing should be done at lunch and on breaks...

      @scottlberg
      Not true.
      The majority of my online work time socializing has to do with business networking.
      Like it or not, facebook is being utilized more and more for this.

        @zenwalker Majority meaning more than 50%. Rest of the time is just solcializing. Like it or not even in best case it's a time waster and a bandwidth waster.

        @zenwalker there are almost always exceptions to every rule. You are one. But to the average worker, Facebook is cheating and nonproductive.

  • Photo Galleries

    I absolutely hate your photo gallery approach to presenting articles. It is clumsy, time consuming and overall annoying! Each time I click to the next image the entire screen has to repaint which causes the page to reposition to the top thereby forcing me to scroll the window back into view. Whoever thought of this method of presentation ought to at least have his or her pay docked. As of this moment I will no longer access your site until you have corrected this misdirection. Just thought you ought to know.

      @almoreno I absolutely agree. I definitely think twice or more before clicking on these links because I know they'll be a pain to read. With this one, I had some time. With most others, I end up ignoring the link altogether because of a HORRIBLE user experience.

      • You want to try it on dial-up, it's even worse than horrible!

        @kchaugh@...
        I agree wholeheartedly. for a supposedly technically savvy site, this is a disaster. Please redesign: I usually give up on watching the entire series.

      @almoreno

      One more vote against the photo gallery presentation, for all the same reasons as the previous posters. Sometimes I fall for the article and go ahead and view it, but I really don't like them.

        @colecrew Second what? I hate it when somebody responds but you don't know to whom?

      We hear you. How is this now? We put a link to the full list at the bottom of the first page. Editor

      • Put it at the front...

        love the link to the article without having to look at each photo and wait for stupid screen refreshes every time. i noticed the link right away before even reading the thread, and wondered what was happening that it was included!
        now, do it all the time for every article, and you'll have a winner!

        @andy.smith@... It's great to know your readers are being listened to. Thanks for the response. Makes me feel good about reading your stuff.

      @almoreno Couldn't agree more. Same problems as above. Every idiot who designs a web page thinks they own the user's full screen, rubbish I stop using sites that think that way.

      @almoreno I don't care enough about what the next 9 are to bother with it. Here's to going somewhere else for tech news.
