All that is provided here is screen shots and Kubuntu is much prettier and has the potential to be a much more polished OS although currently it looks prettier Ubuntu is more polished (in a windows 2000 looking way).

Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 Beta
The new Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 release is an evolutionary improvement over previous releases in terms of basic functionality but it has significant performance enhancements which include vastly reduced boot up time.

Because it's the "standard" Ubuntu
Kubuntu is a variant--an official one, but still a variant--of the standard Ubuntu. That's what I'd expect Ubuntu watchers to focus on, even though I don't use it myself (I'm a Xubuntu user).

Ubuntu, Kubuntu it doesn't matter
I agree that Kubuntu looks more impressive but I think it
is best to keep it simple to get Linux known out there.
Ubuntu is on their home page, it looks distinctive with
the brown (I am one of those who like it), etc and there
are more reasons. Once people know bout Ubuntu, they will
realise Kubuntu is right there as well. Basically, keep
it simple. For us, it doesn't matter, we know.

Why Ubantu? Why not discuss the rising stars like the 2010 release of Opensolaris? Most people are sick of the windows 7 non event which this site has been punting for the last 12 months.Why not review some opensource apps instead?

I like that... No explaination...
Simple reasoning for simple minds.
Now if it said "Linux is Garbage because..." and listed reasons, at least one could argue a point.
It's like saying that Windows is garbage. Well, I guess in the previous poster's mind, it may not be garbage, only because you have to pay for it, but who knows?
