Cracking open the Verizon iPhone 4
After four years of being exclusive to AT&T (in the US), the Apple iPhone is now available on Verizon. And like the original iPhone 4, we couldn't wait to get our hands on the Verizon model and crack it open. Follow along as we take a peak at the hardware inside Apple's CDMA iPhone 4 for Verizon.

A beautiful job disassembling the unit and highlighting the few minor differences. It would've even nicer if you would've taken the time to explain a little bit about the functionality of the chips you so aptly pointed and named.
Yes, I can tel the difference. Note break in frame on Verizon unit at upper left. This also shows on the box, btw.
So is the glass digitizer glued to the lcd like old 1st gen iphones?
Wow. 79 photos is at least twice as many as the story required. A little text would have been nice, too--not just the skimpy captions. And it should have been explained why the differences were necessary for Verizon, and not just evolutionary steps in the manufacturing process that most products go through.
It's the same phone as at&t iphone 4, Verizon's network is much better with voice calls.

@pennwarren Not the same - the phones are actually different sizes.
the AT&T version if you think about it.
